I’m Michelle Pam, an illustrator and designer based in Bucharest, Romania. I create hand-drawn visual worlds for brands, spaces, and stories. I have always been drawn to the character of things made by hand, the slight imperfections, the texture of paper, the way a line can feel both precise and spontaneous. My work begins on paper, usually with a pencil sketch, and slowly develops through a combination of ink and watercolour. I love a good, clear ink line, the kind that carries both precision and character. Over the past three years, I have been exploring this analogue language further, adding touches of gold pigment and oil pastel to bring out small details, texture, and light. My background in architecture and design has also shaped the way I draw. I naturally look for structure, proportion and spatial relationships, while remaining interested in atmosphere, gesture and the human details that make an environment feel lived in. Although my illustrations begin entirely by hand, they often end up in digital spaces. When a commissioned piece is intended for a website, campaign, or other digital application, I scan and carefully edit the original artwork, preserving as much of its physical character as possible. The result is work that sits somewhere between illustration and visual world-building: analogue at its heart, but adaptable to the way brands communicate today. I work with clients across hospitality, travel, beauty, fashion, healthcare, wellness and culture, creating bespoke illustrations for identities, campaigns, editorial projects, publications, spaces and digital experiences.
